Fezz Cycles is a young independent custom bicycle frame builder in Malaysia. Dedicated to offer high quality handcrafted bicycle frames and products.
The Builder
Introducing Faritz, the founder of Fezz Cycles. Faritz is an industrial designer that has been passionately building bicycle frames since 2015. Staring off by repairing classic steel racing bicycles Faritz has moved on to offer his own frames designed and crafted in Malaysia.
The Craft
Our method of joining is fillet brazing. Fillet brazing is joining 2 or more work pieces together by melting a filler metal. Fillet brazing is a dying art that is kept alive by custom steel framebuilders and metal craftsmen. The process is favoured as the temperatures required for brazing are lower than tig welding. Brazing is also done with an actual flame rather than an electric arc. Which adds to its allure and romance.
Steel tubing is fillet brazed with brass and stainless is fillet brazed with silver. each joint is skilfully sculpted to achieve a smooth and seamless joint. This gives a unique and beautiful aesthetic to each joint.
We love mixing classic techniques with modern process. In house designed 3D printed parts allow us to explore new and exciting possibilities.
